DAY 1: Kilimanjaro Airport

Welcome to KIA Lodge, 'your door to Tanzania' at less than 5 minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport. The lodge is situated on a secluded hill in the heart of beautiful savannah scenery that is so typical for East Africa. Guests can admire the vast views of the African plains and of course the grand Kilimanjaro Mountain that shows her snowy top mostly in the morning and at sundown. Because of its location, the KIA Lodge is an ideal safe haven for arriving and departing Tanzania, climbing the Kilimanjaro or traveling on to the northern safari destinations..

DAY 2: Kilimanjaro

Simba Lodge

Trekking Time: 3 hours | Distance: 7 km | Altitude Gain: 450m

After breakfast start the ride from the lodge. The ride will take you from the low savannah pass through small pastoralist villages to the green fields on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

A working farm and lodge situated on 7,000 acres of rolling hills in West Kilimanjaro with breathtaking views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Maasai steps and Mt. Meru. A family farm since 1981, we grow wheat and barley for the local Tanzanian market and seed beans for overseas export. The lodge, the ‘Old Guest House’ with five bedrooms and two country cottages are surrounded by lush gardens. All meals at the lodge are prepared with fresh vegetables from our own gardens.

DAY 3:Kilimanjaro

Biking Time: 6-7 hours | Distance: 10 km | Altitude Gain: 800m

After breakfast at the lodge start riding. From the farm, you will ride uphill through planted forest and potatoes fields. The road with bringing you into Kilimanjaro National Park. You will stop at the Londorosi gate for meal/refresh and check in the park. if you are still strong from here take on more steep gravel real to Shira plateau (3,550M). Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Enduiment

Masai Lodge

Biking Time: 6-8hours | Distance: 60km

After early breakfast, starting riding. Downhill across the plains of the Enduiment Wildlife Management Area. In this open savannah, you have chances to encounter wild animals such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, elephants, etc. Picnic lunch on the way. The gravel road through the Acacia woodland will start to circumnavigate the northern part of Mt.Meru.

With a total of 14 bungalows, we guarantee exclusivity, individuality, and authenticity. The Hillside Retreat stands for two different sized holiday homes including a pool. To recharge your batteries, the terraces overlooking Mount Meru are ideal. With a bit of luck, even giraffes can pass by. Our chefs prepare every meal freshly and a driver/guide is available for excursions in the area."

After early breakfast, starting riding. Downhill across the plains of the Enduiment Wildlife Management Area. In this open savannah, you have chances to encounter wild animals such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, elephants, etc. Picnic lunch on the way. Today you will cycle a short streach of tarmac road before return to the graval road. Cycle pass the maasai pastoralist village and camp at the slops of Kitumbeine mountain.

The following day cycle 40kms down to the plains, traverse the plains to Lake Natron basin.Enjoying the view of thousands lesser/greater flamingos and sunset towards Mt. Oldonyo Lengai.

DAY 8: Sonjo

After breakfast, leave E’ngare Sero village in the morning cycle alongside the lake. cycle through challenging Great Rift Valley escarpments before reach the high elevation vast plains savannah which will take you to Waso village. Overnight at camp in this Sonjo hinterland. Cycling distance 80km. If happen you are here during the Wildebeest migration, it is spectacular to cycle pass the sea of wild animals.

Day 10: Northern Serengeti

After breakfast depart Lolionddo to Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive on the way.,/p>

Venture deep into the Serengeti in safari vehicles, heading for kopje country, where dramatic granite boulders poke out of the savanna. Continue to tented camp, located in an area with a high concentration of wildlife in the midst of thousands of wildebeest during the annual migration*, or in the savanna woodlands, home to a rich variety of wildlife species, including cheetah, leopard, giraffe, buffalo, and vervet monkey. On game drives, observe the legendary creatures of the Serengeti.

Day 11: Central Serengeti

Game driving to Central Serengeti. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s second-largest national park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains, savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and riverine forests. This is the day for you to explore the famous “endless plains”, Central Circuit, with an impressive variety of the exquisite Big Cats that roam about in the area, notably lions, cheetahs, and leopards. This is also where the migration takes place all year round, and a chance to be amidst 2.5 million wildebeest and uncountable herds of zebras and gazelles.

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater

We depart early morning, ready to experience the magnificent wildlife in Tanzania’s richest game parks;  Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, two of Tanzania’s most important protected areas and world-famous national parks. Our game drives allow us to follow the rhythms of the limitless wildlife as we witness the daily struggle between predators and prey. The kopjes, or massive islands of granite standing in a sea of grass, provide shelter to a great variety of animals from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik-dik. Descend into Crater; you will be in awe of the world’s largest unbroken caldera. The Crater is home to a variety of animals that share the vast space of the caldera. Spend a day in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a habitat rich in culture and teeming with wildlife. Sometimes there are more than 30,000 animals in and around the crater, including black rhino, cheetah, lion, hyena, eland, and numerous antelope.



Day 13: Arusha

After breakfast short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Areas gate then jump on your bike and ride the downhill pass Karatu to Mto wa Mbu. This ride will give you a great view of the Great Rift Valley Escapement, the Lake Manyara and the forest around. Pass Mto wa Mbu ride the floor of the valley to Makyuni junction for lunch. After lunch, jump into the truck and drive to Arusha.

Iliboru Safari Lodge is situated at the base of Mount Meru, among the banana fields and Maasai tribes, a perfect setting for a family holiday. We offer spacious guest rooms with a large lawn area between each self-contained Boma. The rooms have a unique African design with a round layout and thatched rooftops. The Maasai fabrics and draped nets add an ethnical charm, blended with international amenities throughout the lodge.
